First, is the owner of the advocate from Alabama. Why in the world would you Bash LSU on the front page of your paper the week before the big game. With recruiting going on this just can not help. So thanks advocate for your support of your local college.

Just stop reading and/or clicking. That's all they care about.

I saw that and wondered the same thing. Didn't click on the article.

Everyone stop with the Advocate and let them go out of business. They are of no use anymore anyway!!

Because everything said in that article is 100% true. I know it first hand. It's a story that needs to be published again and again until more than a handful of people want to do something about it.
As long as politicians keep a tight grip on LSU, it will never prosper.

Anyone with a room temp. IQ already knows what these rags are all about...sorry but that doesn't seem to include you...and that's to your detriment...lol...if you want to continue to add to the problem, keep sending them your money and support! Otherwise, stop supporting them!

Do you care that LSU is woefully underfunded? Is it even a concern to you? Perhaps with the timing of this article, legislators (who also love LSU football) will read it and step up. Publish this article in April, and people yawn.

It is a story that needs to be told and maybe by printing it this week more people will become aware of the difficulties LSU faces. The purpose of a university is to educate, which may come as a surprise to some of you morons. The school at one time was one of the premier public universities, and the largest in the South, but because of the lack of commitment by State government we are barely holding on to second tier. UGA and Florida stepped up are are now in the top 50. A&M is right there too. Alabama is trying to do the same and I congratulate them.

No matter how you slice it, this is very POOR timing. There no way this will help anyone.Face it the money maker is football and by hurting football and recruiting this will help no one.

You guys need to take off your purple and gold glasses.
The article speaks the truth. If LSU wants to compete with Bama and others on and off the field, things like this need to be mentioned.
I don't think the article is slamming LSU. It's slamming the short sightedness of the administration and legislature.

Everything I read is 100% true...call em out. It's called tough love

I'm sure bama has some short comings, but if there local paper would print that crap before a huge game they would find them hanging from a tree in the deep woods. There are some things you just don't do if you support your school there are other ways to get it done

Don't do it right now, and if you do, compare LSU to all SEC public institutions. Maybe Alabama is doing well compared to many other SEC public institutions right now. I don't know. It just smells like a troll attempt by the Advocate.

What other ways do you recommend to get it done? How do you know they haven't already tried and it hasn't worked?

When you put football above education you end up with folks who apparently can't differentiate between "THERE" and "THEIR".
Just saying'

Georgia, Florida and A&M are at or near top 50 public universities, which is a very good place to be.
