either way! his leg injury coincided with accuracy problems.

He underthrew 2 long passes. Accuracy problems is a bit of an overstatement.

you should go re-watch the fu, Ole miss, and Furman games. Especially Florida and Ole Miss. He was off on a lot more throws than the 2 long bombs. Even Gary Danielson commented on it during the Florida game.

I didn't see the game, but the 2 INTs were surprising to see after the 3 INTs against Ole Miss. Were they the exact same kind of passes as in Ole Miss?

The first int was all on Mett. The second one was on Jerald Hawkins who got beaten badly by the RE.

Mett has lost his magic in the last 2 games. I hope he can recover in time for the Gumps!!! If he is so injured why not give Jennings a chance?

It was an option route. The receiver read the defense correctly and ran the right route, Mett read the defense incorrectly and threw an int.

There was talk about miscommunication but I got this quote from a post-game article:

"Miles indicated Mettenberger may have held the ball too long. Mettenberger didn't like being asked about the interception."

This was the closest thing that I could find to a definitive answer for that first pick. I do know for sure that Hawkins got his arse whipped by the pass rusher which resulted in the second int.

That shin is bothering him more than he is saying. He is throwing flat footed with no push forward on his throwing motion

It does sound like that one was on him.

I didn't re-watch the game and only caught the pick on the instant replay (which wasn't quite so instant) but I think it was a 3 step drop.

INT replay

It's hard to see but it looks like Mett had his head turned to his left in the direction he was throwing after his first step. Maybe it was a misinterpreted timing route but it appears he was facing the defender before he planted his back foot before stepping forward on his throw.

Actually it looked like the first pick was a miscommunication or an incorrect route by the WR. He threw a quick out and WR ran deeper (don't remember if it was a deep come back or a fly). The pass went directly to the DB. Not as bad as people are making it seem.

The read was wrong for some reason on this throw. Mett read man coverage and threw a backshoulder spot. OBJ kept running up the field. On the replay the DB was backpeddling and swiveled his hips turned up field for an instant as if in man coverage. Then all of the sudden he breaks off the coverage and just sits right there and Mett had just released the ball. Not sure if DB read the play or just got lucky. If Mett threw to OBJ on the fly he would have scored easily as the DB left him.

I have no idea who's at fault, but he's trying to throw an out route to Landry who runs a stop. One of those guys is wrong. Looking at the tree, it looks to me like OBJ is clearing for Landry to run the out. If I had to guess, Landry ran the wrong route.

No he threw one to a CB at the line of scrimmage that looked like he forget LSU was wearing purple that game. I mean on a rope straight at the guy. Dude didn't even move

9 times out of 4, LSU "fans" will make a topic about a certain statistic just in hopes for other sad pieces of shite to say negative things about this team.

He threw some more jump balls to beckham that would have picked picked off by a better defense.

He did this a good bit. Was unsettling.
