There is nothing in Meridian.

Meridian is like Starkville without all the flash and glamor. But I've never looked for a bar or strip club, I can't imagine there is a lot to find.
Good luck.
Good luck.

Weidmans is a pretty old historic restaurant in Meridian. It's been years since I've been though.

The only thing worth a shite to do in Meridian is Rhythm & Brews

The new Rhythm & Brews Meridan opened its doors in December of 2009. Located in Downtown Meridian, this club brings the same fun and friendly atmosphere as the original Tuscaloosa location. In addition to the great drink selection and entertainment, food is served at our Meridian location. Be sure to click the Rhythm & Brews event calendar to see some of the great bands performing this week.

Listed on order of recommendation:
Weidmann's Restaurant Downtown for seared tuna, steak. Good bar upstairs.
LINK
Rustler's Steakhouse on Old Highway 80 for steak and other stuff.
LINK
Thai Krei at 6661 North Hills Small, but Really Good Thai - No bar.
LINK
Hungry Heiffer on 14th street - raw oysters, burgers, beer, bar and chalkboard food.
LINK
Dobie's Ragin Cajun Across from Mugshots for Cajun, creole and bar Good burger and spicy Cajun. Owner cooked on oil rigs and the Cajun is good food. He is a good guy, too. My go to burger.
Could not find a link
Mugshots for burgers sandwiches and beer on Poplar Springs just north of North Hills Drive
LINK
Buffalo Wild Wings on Old H-80 at I-20/59 - never been there.
Chunky Sholes Catfish on Old H-80 at Chunky River. Good catfish and beer.
LINK
Chain food junk. Chili's, Applebees, Cracker Barrel, Logan's Roadhouse, Olive Garden, Red Lobster, Taco Bell, Outback, O'Charley's, bla, bla, bla
Private Dining at Country Club Restaurants, but private - members only
Beer Joints all over town - enter at own risk. Have no idea of food quality.
There are two Vietnamese Gas Station places (Seafood Express)-(2000 H-39 Just North of the BMW Dealership & 3073 8th street) with wonderful shrimp, catfish and oyster PoBoys - equal to any I have had in New Orleans. Never had their chicken, but it is always selling well. One beside BMW dealership has a nice assortment of gas station beer in cooler. I will sit and eat mine in the dining areas of both places and have never been robbed or hassled, but I put out an air that tells folks I am a good (blessed) guy who leaves folks alone and that God/karma will get you if you try to rob me. They will put more fried shrimp on your Poboy than you can eat, so take six or seven off before tackling the sandwich and eat them separate. Tipping the counter help will win you a friend for life.
We have an assortment of good Mexican places in town. My go to for Tex/Mex is La Pinata at 816 18th avenue a block north of the I-20 frontage road. Ask at the hotel and they will point you toward it. Their chips and salsa are great as is the Carne Asada. They make a half gallon Margareta that will put you under the table. Lots of beer and other drinks I'm sure.
Someone listed Rhythm and Brews, so I won't. May be music there that night and beer, etc. Good safe place to hang as long as you leave the Red Necks alone. We have friends (band) who play there at times.
I think there is a strip club in Meridian, but I do not know where. Call the Military Police office at Meridian Navy Base NAS-Meridian and they can probably tell you where it is.
My house is by far the best restaurant in Meridian, my beer selection is limited, but always icy cold and never runs low. My whiskey is top drawer. but we are closed that night.
Lots of places the day you are in T-Town. However, there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth there that day.

Don't mention it. Hope the Tigers do well in T-Town, but I am a realist. Since I root for the Bull Dogs I guess I am actually (clinically) a depressed fatalist.

MDog, I notice that you did not list the "Ole Farm Beef House". Years ago, upon my request for a non-chain restaurant, this was suggested to me by some locals.
"Hmmm", thought I, "with such an odd name it must be good."
Bad plan.

It is across the street from the BMW Dealership and their parking lot will be full. Lots of Moms and Pops inside eating, maybe with the grandkids and next door neighbors. Salad bar with 12 items. Sister Schubert rolls. They have been at that location in Meridian for 40 years with the same wallpaper, too.
I also neglected to mention the Western Sizzler on the North side frontage road and the Ryans all you can eat buffet.
To complete my listing, there are a couple of pretty good Truck Stops on the interstate that are always busy. CiCi's is on th eloop around the Mall.

I think every place makes a margarita that will put you under the table if you drink half a gallon.

They have three sizes. I get the "small".
Actually I usually get a beer.

(although I did have to Google for what a Sister Schubert roll is)
