It's most definitely bullshite. I'm with you. I would have to guess it's just because everything's new. We're new, the jerseys are new, etc. They think they can profit from the increase in purchases. I'm not sure they have the demand to charge THAT much, but if the NBA Store doesn't have ANY jerseys, they may just be forcing us to pay up if we want to be "true fans" and have team jerseys.

I'd chalk it up to that, but like I said, this is not a new practice. The jersey/gear prices were still around 30-40% higher last year even when everyone knew we were changing names after the season. Replica Davis/Rivers jerseys were over $100 during last season.
