A mediocre high school coach would have enough sense to call a time out.

What good would calling a time out have served?

Clock stops on 1st down. Ole Miss would probably be in prevent. You give yourself a chance to get in position for a field goal. It is all about giving yourself a chance. You do remember what happened the last time we played ole miss don't you?

you sound like miles, you wouldn't have wanted the ball with 20 seconds left with a chance to get in fg range? I guess miles didn't want to either.

A couple of chances to get to opposing 40 and at least a shot for a tie.

There should be no doubt why you love Les Miles so much. You are as clueless as your hero is.

The fact that you are asking this question is proof that your opinions regarding Les Miles and LSU football should be completely disregarded.

I watched the game at a bar with 2 other couples last night. All 3 of the wives knew immediately that a timeout should have been called following that 3rd down play, and all 3 were yelling at the TV wondering why our Head Football Coach has yet to grasp even the most basic concepts of game management. When the wives know better than the $4 million dollar man coaching the game they are watching, it is truly a sad state of affairs.

There is no excuse for not calling that timeout. NONE.

That Les routinely fails to understand the very basic concepts of managing a football game is impossible for me to fathom. It absolutely blows my mind that he has the record he does. We aren't talking quantum physics, here. It's f'n football for God sakes. Come on, Les ..... how can you be this stupid?
