I have no idea how the Mandarin is supposed to play out in the comics, but ya, it was just a tad bit disappointing when Ben Kingsley is fricking killin' it on screen creeping every one the frick out to only be some stoner.

Never was going to walk out of the theater, but definitely was wishing it would suddenly end so I could leave.
