Tourists, young college types, and idiots like it.

When I have people in town, they always want to go there because they heard about it on TV. I try to steer them elsewhere, but if they really want to go, I don't mind. Its passable stuff and it can be a cool atmosphere.

But there are many other places significantly better for the same price with reservations.

Its a filthy, average restaurant that tourists think is "New Orleans-y".

same exact thing with Ben's Chili Bowl in D.C. place gets good marks on Yelp and Urbanspoon, it's always packed, the Food Network loves the place .. but the actual product is, in reality, pretty shitty.

I don't put too much stock into reviews and ratings on places like Ben's or Jacque's. Too many morons who don't know anything about food weighing in.

It's a tourist trap but not in a bad way IMO.
