I wish everyone would just quit caring about what everyone else thinks about everything.

Been coming to games since 99' and I've had enough of driving around looking for somewhere to park DONE! I love watching live games, but for the rest of the season I'll be watching on my HDTV !!

Who cares about these garbage Bowl games after your team loses 1 or 2 games and you are out of it.
amen. if you are not at least playing for a championship in atlanta......who cares about useless stat padding games and crap bowl venues?
playoffs will keep the interest longer and especially if we get to an 8 team playoff eventualy.

Our fanbase has gotten spoiled.
No doubt this is a large factor in the demise of TS (don't know what else to call it). But another one, and not an insignificant one IMO, is our fanbase knows so little of what made TS the very envy of the CFB world and our current Admin does NOTHING of substance to change this.

playoffs may indeed be saving grace.

__________________________________________________Our Admin ought to be able to get some contract concessions with the SEC. If network A is willing to show our game at night, then we should have some latitude to pre-empt network B from moving it to the afternoon.

How, precisely? CBS has had that contract for quite some time. 13 of the 14 SEC schools are perfectly fine with 2:30 games. There's not really a power position from which to negotiate there.
Great question and I don't presume to have a full answer. However, a few lines of approach:
a) Begin with tradition. Get the SEC to acknowledge the importance of it. It's a huge part of what makes CFB the greatest sport on the planet, not the quality of the players. When tradition is sold-out CFB is reduced to B-grade NFL. The SEC needs to aggressively pursue the preservation of its traditions.
b) Get State on board. They are allowed an exception with their cowbells. No other school to my knowledge is allowed to bring artificial noisemakers into stadiums. If they are unwilling to support us, let'em know we'll actively petition the SEC to stop making an exception for them.
c) We are not asking for full latitude but an option to retain a night game if another network is willing to carry that game. It would be minimal affect to the SEC's income since any loss to CBS would be a gain to ESPN.
d) Request that the SEC as much as possible, schedule our home SEC games on the same day as other SEC marquee games.
e) Let the SEC know TGBFTL will play Neck 20X accompanied by the famed student section boys choir during any day game.
Oh well. Just some thoughts. It just seems as if we never hear that our Admin voicing our concerns to the SEC.

will press law enforcement to reinstate contraflow traffic routes into and out of the campus that were inexplicably nixed several years ago.
I have 15 years of law enforcement experience and this is "inexplicable" to me. I have wondered if the law enforcement entities who plan the traffic flow on game day are that stupid or just don't care.

It was a much better stadium and atmosphere when it seated 67,500, the largest in the SEC, and I think only second in capacity to Tulane Stadium in the entire South. The place was magic then, all it is now is over-hyped.

funny thing is when we weren't very good... tiger stadium was a much more enjoyable place.. and wilder.... but nothing about sucking something..
I agree with this. In the mid-to-late 90s and early 2000s, the atmosphere was always there for a decent conference opponent. The fans were there to support the team at a time LSU was simply trying to earn respect.

He does make one good point, day games can be pretty brutal in Tiger stadium. I have gone in there at 2:30 stone cold sober (with kids) and wanted to leave at half time because I felt like I was getting heat stroke. I normally don't deal with this, growing up in Louisiana summer has always been my favorite season, but there is something about that place that even with plenty of water I just dry out. When it's over 90 degrees out those stands feel like they are about 140 sometimes during the day.

Need to allow readmits into the game after halftime.

I guarantee if LSU were to ban tailgating on campus altogether, there would be plenty of places to park for those who actually want to go to the game. And we would find out who the REAL football fans are.
This. I think tailgating has become more of a nuisance than anything. What used to be years ago a family enjoying a meal before a game has turned out to be a big free party that encourages too many people to crowd onto the campus. Tiger stadium holds just under 100k; on any given Saturday there are twice than many on campus. Why do they need to be there if they're not going to the game?

...and it's simply immoral that LSU gouges people on bottled water. They could sell it for a buck-a-bottle and still make plenty of profit. They should also not be so adamant about folks "sneaking" in snacks to the game. It used to be they would look for booze and only booze. They didn't care if your wife's purse was full of cokes, chips, and sandwiches. They do now.

Let's not mention the assholes who live in the neighboring subdivisions who scream and holler at folks for parking on a PUBLIC street. They cannot stop a person from parking on a public street, no matter how many orange cones they put in front of their house or how loudly they threaten to call the Chief of Police.

continuing to search for more free parking (freeing up some pay lots on the east side of campus would be a nice gesture) and opening more stadium gates.
says it all right there. They are the ones who imposed the $40 or more per spot last year. They can easily undo it. They can't have it both ways.
