It won't. LSU fans love to get on their soapboxes and boast about how they are the greatest fanbase in the world, and nobody else comes close. Tiger Stadium is the most raucous stadium, etc. We flame and spam and troll any national media outlet that dares to list us anywhere below #1.
Given that as a backdrop, you then get many, MANY games where the stadium has big stretches of open seating on full display, captured on television. Our responses/excuses- not a big game; game is a blowout; it's too early; it's too hot/cold/rainy; traffic/parking is terrible. And, of course, the "frick you, it's my money" justifications.
We (LSU fans) come across as drunken, idiot braggarts who puff out their chests but don't have any heart. I can only imagine what fans of northern teams who get snow late in the season would say.
Would this be an issue if we were just a "normal" fanbase? Nope; but since we all insist we be credited as the greatest fans of all time, don't be surprised as this gets made into a bigger story before it goes away.
I'd give this two up votes if I could.
You nailed it.

Why do you people care about this?
It's almost the little spoiled brat mentality.... If you ain't buying a ticket like me then you can't enjoy any part of LSU game day.
So fricking stupid.

Those who just want to go to the game have no good options of where to park because spots are being taken up by tailgate-tards
Do you know how I know you don't have any friends and no one likes you?

In the end, SEC fans have to realize that the SEC, while a great conference isn't as big nationally and thus CBS doesn't care to air primetime SEC games unless its a huge matchup. They simply don't get the ratings.

No it's not.
Lat ten years ive stayed at tailgates outside and watched as many times as I've chosen to go inside and watch.
It's not this huge amount of people as some of you are suggesting.
YOu want to kill LSU football and more specifically fans attitude towards it.... Limit tailgating.
See where that gets you.

it ain't me killing it... but it's changing and changing fast....
remove the people willing to fork over the $.. .and we'll be mediocre again in a hurry

I said this on this board when the 40$ parking deal was established couple years... And I'll say it again.
Why the decision makers atLSU would want to do something to discourage one of the best things LSU has going for it is beyond me.
I've sat in my tailgate on tower and dalrymple and watched ths happen... I've watched LESS people show up, I've seen parking that used to fill up at 9-10 am go un filled all game long.... Someone said it best earlier in another thread.......
They don't give a frick.
All they care about is your and my money... That's it.
I'm one of these people who have started skipping games.
I don't like the fricking hassle anymore.
I get stadium club tickets a time or two per year and that's my home DV fix... I do it bc it's pretty hassle free.
I went to Dallas, Athens, and am going sat to Oxford.
So yeah, I do support the team.
Things are different....., I like I believe it's bc I'm 37 not 17 or 27 anymore... Idk though, I'm hearing SAME story from lots of different people feel same as I do now.

I've been saying it for years, these other schools in the SEC winning national championships doesn't do jack shite for us.
Where's all this money LSU is getting? For crying out loud in 2014 you're going to have to pay money just to stand on campus.

Why not. There have been plenty of times I go to a tailgate and watch the game FROM said tailgate. I see nothing wrong with it. Why would this bother you by doing this???

Anyone that had to endure the abortion that we call the "Hallman years," Wouldn't take a win for granted. Any win. That is what's happened. Our fanbase has gotten spoiled.
