You're right. The questions about power and responsibility that the Avenger's raised still hound me at night. Toby's Spiderman had the most emotional resonance of any of their films but all I can see now is him singing and dancing with a big band.

Spider-Man and Spider-Man 2 are both better films than Man of Steel.
Hell, the Amazing Spider-Man is a better film than Man of Steel.
We got 3 Spider-Man films better than Man of Steel and handful of X-Men films that are better than Man of Steel.
Man of Steel is entertaining, but is not head and shoulders above every Marvel film property, hell it's not even better than half of the the Marvel films, and not even close to the best Superman film.
