Here is the thesis:
LSU greatly reduced parking areas.
There are less spots.
People arrive Early for tailgating.
All the spots are taken.
Many of these people don't go into the game at any point-they just tailgate. (cool)
The lots fill up earlier than in previous years causing massive traffic jams.
Many people continue to drive past lots to seek new lots.
Many people can't find a spot and arrive late, or get frustrated and turn around.

I will confirm with my personal anecdote that this year for the first time I personally have dropped off a vehicle the night before and/or arrived at 7 am to secure a spot.

Tailgate at home if you do not have tix to the game unless you want to buy a parking pass from someone on the secondary market

When LSU adds buildings, they do it by usurping existing parking.

There are probably 50% less parking spots in the immediate campus area since 1996.

Wow, someone who incurs a problem and develops his own method to adapt and overcome the problem.
