Have you started dragging around your camper more lately?
The computer monitors engine hours, load, RPMs, and some other things that affect your oil life more than mileage. Mileage is really a poor indicator of when you should change oil, but it's the only thing you could go by before ECMs and dataloggers.
I don't think you can tamper with the oil life light without hooking up a laptop with the proper software and re-flashing the computer.

Can't turn them off or change the parameters...but you can reset them. I know on my Ram you reset by turning the key to on/acc and pressing the gas pedal all the way down 3 times.

Man, I can't stress how much quality fluids can ensure the longevity of an engine.
Since someone put the wrong coolant in my truck, the front cover got a hole in it. Now, I am having to clean up the job since someone used the regular old everyday stuff
On top of that, I am gonna have to run Auto-rx to clean out my brand new engine full of sludge.
