EB, you use an ncees record?

I'm actually not sure what this is. I have stamped exactly zero things since getting my PE. I should have stamped my last project, but my supervisor did and I'm not sure why.

how high on the ladder do you see yourself getting? Speaking from my company's point of view, would you want to be a project engineer or would getting to a lead position suffice?

Just wondering.

Sky is the limit

I want to be my own boss one day, and just hire smarter people to do all the not fun stuff while I play golf with clients

Cute kid. Mine are up as soon as there is light in the window. I've made a habit of functioning on 5-6 hours of sleep. Stop being a vagina.

Welp, looks like we will need that study party.....

My email somehow got sent to spam. My FE results took a while so I just assumed that they hadn't sent anything out yet.

Power, sorry you asked before.

I really did not study as much as I should have, so I am not exactly surprised.

Ncees record keeps up with your experience record, transcripts, reference letters, etc

Need a license for another state, just send them your record and you don't have to re-do all that garbage

Here's my thing....

Where i'm at now, from what i'm told, most engineering leads in the company work towards aquiring the position.

Every time i go to the office, i sit with the civil/structural guy on my project and watch what he does. The calcs, design, etc. I enjoy the shite out of it. You know i've always wanted to go back and finish with an actual engineering degree

But i'd hate to go back to school to end up right where i'm at already. But not quite sure if the project engineer position is for me. Queue 33

ETA: i feel like a fricking accountant in this position when all i really care about is the technical aspects of any projects

I didn't study my first try at all

I probably passed by a point, but that 1 point is more than the amount of fricks I give

You passed on your first try without studying?

Long story for taylor:

I took the computer twice, as I graduated in EECE at UL Lafayette, even though I work in the power field. After that, I decided to take the Power but wasn't comfortable with my math skills in power. So, I took the Testmaster PE Prep course in Houston. That made all the difference. Passed it.

I actually have a PDF version of the guide that we received during that course. You are welcome to it if you want. I can dropbox it for you. Its crude because I scanned it at work here, but it may have some good reference info.

I know after I failed, it was tough to study again because I was looking at all the same material. I got complacent in the study time with a "saw this already" attitude. This may just be something different for you to look at in prep for the next one.

I probably overstated a little

Actual study time was probably 8-10 hours

My advantage was that my day to day job was doing problems very similar to the test, so I just started doing more hand calcs at work and using fewer programs/spreadsheets for a couple of months prior to the test

It was studying while getting paid
