Wouldn't the Mississippit State game be our best game of the year?

1. Any elite athlete wants to prove himself. After the tough loss to Georgia I can only believe that these athletes are itching to get back on the field, hit somebody and prove themselves. It's called being competitive.

2. There is a sense of urgency. We can't afford another loss. No more "we're playing a team from the East" so we can "afford" a loss. I don't think we could have ever afforded a loss with the potential of other undefeated teams in the NC mix, but that's for another discussion.

3. The weaknesses of the team are exposed and even the most casual observation can tell you what the major weaknesses are. Time to either adjust the scheme, insert a different combinaton of athletes or both to maximize what we have. We can't draft new players and we are going to get any new coaches in the middle of the season. We must make the best of what we have.

4. Gaining experience. With a young and/or inexperienced team this squad has now faced a hyped season opener, won the cream puff games when it is hard to get up for the game and gone on the road and lost a close game to a legit. Top Ten team. Time to see if those experiences are beginning to pay off.

I am expecting our best game of the year this week, which will give us something to build on for the Flordia game. Geaux Tigers!!!!

Well lets hope so. I think it's time to see some of our freshmen play (maybe start) this game to see if anyone can step up on D.

We win regardless due to our offense.

no - I think just the opposite. We'll be emotionally flat after expending a lot of mental energy against UGA. You just can't play at peak intensity week after week. There are ebbs and flows. And we're on the road.

We'll win, but I predict we'll look sluggish.
