What did you eat that you thought was food for the elderly? The menu doesn't seem that way to me at all.

Overpriced for Lakeview? There's money in Lakeview. $8-9 appetizers, $6-$9 salads, $10-14 pastas and $14-24 entrees doesn't seem overpriced to me.

I used to always eat at the bar there and always had positive experiences
Hopefully it's just a fluke

Elderly?
The menu may be dated and unexciting, it isn't apple sauce.
ETA: What is the Italian place you were hinting at?

It was overpriced...IMO. I just wasn't expecting it, and generally I don't even notice prices on menus.
And I walk by the restaurant all of the time and virtually everyone I see in there is about 1000 years old.
What I ordered seemed like it was prepared for old people that wanted to "seem" foodie. It was a porkchop with some kind of blueberry compote. and then it had two sides that looked like they were straight from a grocery store: green beans and baby carrots.
I just looked at the menu you posted: the prices are lower than when I went. I went within the first two weeks of opening. Pretty sure most of those entrees were in the 20s.
Anyway, everything I had just seemed like it was very boring, standard stuff that was at the same time trying too hard.
My wife refuses to go back, so I'll never give an update. She's like that. I usually give places a second chance...but the second a place rubs her the wrong way its dead to her.
