This is my goal as well. My next AR build will be a 16" 300blk so that my son can shoot deer with it. I like the AR platform for a youth gun since the recoil is next to nothing and the collapsible stock is great for kids. I would think with 220gr subsonics and a can that thing would be bad arse on pigs.
