Pretty tough to argue against Manning being the GOAT at this point

At age 37 he's still the best QB in the NFL, and probably has been for the last 10 years.
He's lead his team to two Super Bowls and won one of them. The second time he did it with very average players around him.
No other player has ever been harder to defend. Even his greatest rival said he was the best ever.
Yeah he's not perfect, but no football player ever will be. He's as close as it comes though.

Drew Brees >>> Peyton Manning
The Super Bowl HTH matchup says it all.

There's a QB in NE who's had a fair amount of success.

I thought the consensus was championships.
We need guidelines.

Johnny Unitas might have a little something to say about that.

He's been beaten in the playoffs by:
Steve McNair (1999)*
Jay Fiedler (2000)
Chadwick Pennington (2002)*
Tom Brady (2003)*
Tom Brady (2004)*
Ben Roethilisberger (2005)*
Philip Rivers (2007)*
Philip Rivers (2008)*
Drew Brees (2009)*
Mark Sanchez (2010)*
Joe Flacco (2012)*
* - denotes that Peyton was outperformed by opposing QB
My top 5 QB's of all time:
Joe Montana
Tom Brady
Peyton Manning
John Elway
Drew Brees

Brady has 5 conf titles and 3 rings and has played with average receivers.
Its 1A and 1B

Aaron Rodgers finishes as the GOAT.

No doubt, one more SB ring and he's a lock for a very long time.
Drew will be second. He will get the numbers and at least one more ring, this year, by beating the Broncos.

I think there are several that have been more successful. Several.

I just don't understand this thinking. So Trent Dilfer is better than 99% of the QB's that have played in the past 30 years?
Rothlisberger (although I think he's a very good QB) is one of the best ever, being that he's won two?
Flacco is as good as Manning?
Marino is a nobody?
Elway wasn't great until he won two?
Stupid thinking IMO.
