I know on paper SJax looked like a great fit for ATL, but dude had red flags flying all over him coming into this year.
--30 years old? Check
--About a billion carries career-wise to date? Check

I wasn't very high on him either but he was sitting there at 36 in a 12 man PPR. Couldn't really pass that up.

He has looked fine.... I can't argue with the injury other than I don't think it is related to his age or time in the league.
He was never going to be a true work horse back but most expected him to get 15 carries/game with all the goal line touches. It is really the goal line touches that made him a hot commodity in the fantasy circles.
ETA I think you will end up okay if you drafted him. I'm more worried about other rbs.
