White really wasn't all that impresssive on Saturday. But he's young, so there should be room for significant improvement.

Our tackling and angles in the secondary have been poor, but I am vastly more concerned about our defense's inability to set the edge. Both TCU and UAB were able to gain the corner with far too much consistency. I don't know if the DE's, LB's, DB's/safeties are to blame, but it's alarming. Gurley will gash us if it continues.

It's not just the edge either. They need to improve the middle as well. The last two games have shown success running directly at our defense.

I was impressed with his aggressiveness in the run game, which the rest of the secondary and even the linebackers have sorely lacked. He was a breath of fresh air there. He "gets it" when it comes to defending the run.

He did have a huge bust in coverage on the play right before they scored on Mills. Looked like he bit on something, which probably has a lot to do with his aggressiveness and youth. He needs to learn however that the Aaron Murray's and AJ McCarron's and JFF's will not miss that bust.

this. the crux of the matter. also, an honest answer. let the coaches determine who's damn fault it is but if the problem isn't fixed our offense is going to have to score 50 points a game or more.

i don't think that calling true freshmen who get into the game in the second half, after it's well out-of-hand, adds anything to any conversation.

I will say if we can find one more DE to play like Jordan Allen, we will be more than OK. The other guys are using their talent, but they are not using their technique which allows teams to get to the edge. Every team will try to get to the edge until we effectively stop it.
