Madrid, Tokyo or Istanbul
Who do you think? Istanbul somewhere different but with touchy political situation there, maybe not. In addition Turkey has a long birder with Syria.
I bet Madrid
and no Denham Springs not on the ballot

Tokyo
Spains economy in the tank and Istanbul is a little rocky with Mid East tensions

Objectively, you are right with Tokyo. Istanbul has too many non sports questions (Repressive gov,, Middle East tensions) and I forgot about Spanish economy
on the other hand it all depends on who slipped what money to whom

THIS. All other logic is worthless when figuring out where they will be.

Tokyo, though given the IOC's history, motherfricking Tulsa would get it if they bribed them enough $$$

Money talks and Bunkie is on the list

Anywhere but Tokyo would be a disaster, don't think they want to take chances after whatever Brazil will be.

I hope it's Turkey, great balance between Christians and Muslims safe for the most part and it is the threshold between Europe and the East...

The nuclear plant disaster/the coverups being revealed from it are surely going to stop Tokyo getting it, the Japanese can make promises, but the fact that leaks are being covered with tape should show that its a long way from being handled properly.
It has to be Madrid vs Istanbul...so do you go shite economy or the potential instability of Turkey?
I think Turkey will get it, the improvements they would have to make to infrastructure - assuming they are actually made - could really help the country as a whole aswell.

Istanbul is a cool city and would be a reason to return, So I'm partial.
Spain had it in 1992 so give someone else a try.

This. There has been much talk in Olympic circles regarding concern over the power plant issue in Japan. Yes, 2020 is still 7 years away, but the issue could still be a factor then. Madrid seems the front-runner to me.

Istanbul would be the coolest imo

Some people here clearly don't know much about turkey or Istanbul. They are the poster child for the Middle East. Secular government. Zero tolerance for terrorism. Istanbul is a 1000 miles from Syria. Booming economy. I think it would be best for Istanbul to get the bid.
