Great episode, but the idea that two people out in the open can take that kind of fire for a good 5-6 seconds before getting to cover and not get killed is suspending things beyond belief.

Five guys with automatic weapons and two more with pistols would have dropped them almost instantly. It doesn't even matter if they are good shots or not. They easily got off over a hundred rounds combined before Hank and Gomie got behind the car.

That is all well and good but I assure you it is different when you are shooting at a person. I have seen many expert range shooters miss multiple times in combat. It just isn't the same

can we not turn this into a gun knowledge pissing match and all agree that Hank and Gomez are both dead in the show and would have been dead in a real life similar situation?

Seriously, it was a firing squad.

It's like going all the way with an OT 10 but before you climax her phone rings and she has to tend to an emergency out of state...

So you're left sitting there with your dick in your hands and too pissed to jerk off saying to yourself, "fricking bullshite."

The episode was terrible before the shitty shootout and cliffhanger.

I will say that given how we saw the Nazis handle the other drug makers in a pervious episode it doesn't make sense that they didn't kill hank with quickness.

Reminded me of this gem...

Not trying to accomplish anything outside of establishing that it was not far fetched and much of the criticism is unfounded.

They took out a dozen or so armed guys in that gang.

The fact that they were both out there without any backup or notifying anyone else means they were meant to die in the gunfight imo.

10 guys with automatic weapons and a pistol or two firing the first shots against two guys with a pump shotty and a glock.

they shouldve been obliterated

Its one thing for a person to miss an easy target due to stress.

It's quite another for a half-dozen automatic weapons being fired at two men out in the open 20 yards away to not connect even once over a period of 5-10 seconds. You don't have to be accurate, they could have started shooting with their eyes closed and both Hank and Gomie would have had 5-10 holes a piece in seconds.

Besides, its already been established those boys are good with weapons. They wiped out a drug kingpin and his armed squad in about 20 seconds.

We didn't see that shoot out. Perhaps they shot them all in the back.

Pisses me off that Walt was going to give up. He should have called the NNs back and said you have 3 targets now.

Finished it 30 seconds ago and frick Vince Gilligan.

The tension was unbelievable waiting to see if Gomez was dirty and then 9 dudes with clean shots fire 900 rounds and can't hit Hank or Gomez?

Lazy arse shite.

So disappointed by the ending.

I just watched it again and hank and Gomez were only exposed for the first burst before getting behind the engine block. Watch it again.

+1

This scene was far fetched. IMO the only reason they weren't slaughtered outright was to let Hank and Gomez "go down swinging" and to create the cliffhanger for next week.

As previously mentioned, the stage is set for them to die: unofficial business, all alone, no one knows they are there, Hank's call to Marie....

Gomez and Hank die.

Walt is able to save Jessie. They must perform another cook in order to survive.

ETA: Next episode should be called "Hells Kitchen"
