You mean the slap on the helmet that I guarantee the kid didn't feel but only heard because he was WEARING A frickING HELMET.
At the very least, the coach should get a 15 yard penalty for the personal foul

I didn't read the article, and I don't know if it was addressed, but the coach was very calm when talking to the kid at first. I'm quite certain that the kid gave some stupid response as to what happened on the play. The coach reacted to whatever the kid said.

Needs to stop. Kids don't need to learn that raising your hand to a person in this manner is ok
I didn't play football, but there is absolutely no problem with coaches doing that.
If you seriously believe what you wrote and that I quoted, you either got bullied as a kid and don't know how to handle yourself or are just a little bitch. There are extremes coaches should go to, but this isn't one of them.
I'm sorry you sit down to pee.

Let's say the kid hits his coach back. What's your response then?

Is the coach wearing a helmet?

How about we agree on the following: No teachers hitting their students in the head.

Then it's a problem between them that they need to work out, and it's nobody else's fricking business outside of the parents and school.
It's used to teach or reinforce a lesson, not to degrade. Even I understand that having never played.

I'm not a badass, I just stood up for myself. Sorry you weren't taught basic life lessons as a kid.

Correct...I meant to say that there are extremes coaches could go to, but this isn't the extreme.

Judging by your posts, it isn't hasty. It's educated based on the substance of your posts. Quite the opposite of hasty.

"I bet you failed a lot of spelling tests"
That's pretty weak , but by your standards I bet you failed ALOT of capitalization and punctuation tests

And the meaningless bickering begins.
Meaningless, just like this argument.

So a coach should never touch a player under any circumstance?
Let's say during practice a kid lines up in the wrong spot and the coach grabs him by the arm and moves him to the right spot...is that physical abuse? serious question.
