Absolutely. I wear kakhi shorts to bars all the time. It's really hot most of the time so any sort of long pants or jeans will have you sweating quickly.
Some bars prefer you not wear a bunch of graphic t shirts and crap though. My best advice would be to just wear a collared shirt with kakhi shorts.

See thats what so great about beer pong. You can play on just about any surface.
