Sucked is a lil strong word.

Hilliard flat out sucked last year. i hope he learned how to work hard
I wouldn't say he sucked. He just got like as many carries in the last 9 games as he did in the first 3.

Miles run by committee system doesn't allow for RB to get into a groove anyways.

I think Hilliard is going to show great improvement this year over last. I think he will show that while Hill is held out(if he is held out).

It works just fine.

He is going to catch half of the fan base sleeping. Severely underrated by a good chunk of this fan base despite the fact that he was going toe to toe with Hilliard at the end of the 2011 season

Never said it didn't work. I said it doesn't allow for a RB to get into a groove because someone else is in to take your place. Some of you people can't comprehend for shite I swear.

Blue bounced back quickly and by spring practice was ready to resume practicing. Miles said he could have participated in contact drills but was held out as a precaution. Except for one play. Miles finally relented during a full-contact scrimmage. Blue put on a white jersey, took a handoff on a zone read play called 83, and stepped to the left. He put a killer hip fake move on linebacker D.J. Welter and was gone on a 40-yard run. "It was like he was shot out of a cannon," Welter recalled.

Hope he doesn't perform like against TCU RB's.

Works just fine indeed and is the NFL norm now on a ton of teams.
Getting them ready for the next level!

Hillard doesn't suck but it is frustrating how small he plays. Dude is massive but runs way to upright.

Do we have an ortho out there that can comment? how many carries are realistic for Blue in a game after ACL surgery? I'm thinking Magee and Hilliard do the heavy lifting until Auburn.

Unless LSU has greatly improved their passing game, opponents will still simply stack the box.
Get in your time machine and go watch the 2011 season. Led the SEC in rushing; ninth in passing yards. The "stack the box" meme is around, but sometimes a line and a back just can't be stopped, even with UT's 13 man defense.

Blue will be the "darkhorse" of the SEC though most of us know better.

How excited must Alfred be?
Cam Cameron's running back his last year at Indiana averaged more than 7 yards per carry and led the nation in all-purpose yards. He's top 10 all-time in NCAA history in yards per carry.
Cam's running back at San Diego is the all-time single-season TD record holder.
Cam's running back his one year in Miami was leading the entire NFL in yards from scrimmage when he sustained a season-ending knee injury in week 7.
Cam's running back in Baltimore has two 2,000-yard seasons from scrimmage.
While Cam's development of quarterbacks gets the lion's share of the attention, his running backs have absolutely thrived in his system.

I agree with ya'll about Blue's running ability...should have a great year along with the entire Offense. But mainly I like his politics and that he speaks his mind even when it conflicts with political correctness! If he were to compete for the Heisman award this year, no one would be happier than me. He's represents what an All-American man should be....all man!
