Dolgopolov-180

Seppi-240

Stan The Man-200 (bargain)

Blake -140 (I can't imagine the tennis gods are cruel enough to allow his last match as a pro to be a loss to Dr. Ivo)

Brian Baker +200 (Brian Baker is a good damn player when healthy. I expect a W here)

Kevin Anderson (I went in on him when the odds read -350, but then after I put it in, I was informed the odds had moved to -450. I reduced the amount of my play as a result. I should have just cancelled the play altogether, but too late now).

Checking back:

Dolgo: chicken dinner!
Seppi: chicken dinner!
KA: chicken dinner!

Some crazy stuff started to happen in that breaker, but JMDP battled through it.

James Blake took the 1st breaker over Dr. Ivo.

ETA: Come on ESPN put James' match on primetime! It's his farewell.

Well, you got one. Somehow, JB losing this match would be a fitting end to a career riddled with bad luck, mild choking, stupid tactics, and inconsistency.

I guess I spoke too early, 2 tie-breaks.

Blake is choking.

I don't wanna see him go out like this either.

Something doesn't look right with him. He appeared lethargic in that tiebreaker.

For a guy who can't hit a backhand to save himself, I feel like he put together a respectable career.

JB, the last decade was a lot of fun. I even got one of these a few years back.

JB was a class act and really should have made the semi at the US Open when he lost the fifth set tiebreaker to Agassi in 2005. He only had one gear and I sort of respect him for that. He had two or three racquet deals the last few years, but nobody could ever give him a model he felt comfortable with, and he kept going back to the last three blacked out sticks he had left from around 2000. Nice retrospective from Tirico.

Bummer. Good guy. He'll take it in stride, though. He seems like he's extremely level-headed. He knows where his game is right now, and I'm sure he knew this was a possibility.

Slightly related: did y'all know that Blake and John Mayer were best friends in high school, and are still close friends?
