Question for those fans who regularly go to the Friday game at Arky

How many of you would have a full or partial Thanksgiving Day with the family, and then head out for Arkansas? How many celebrated Thanksgiving there every other year?
Just trying to get a feel how many people that were willing to go to Arky for Friday would be willing to go to CS for Thursday night.

I went once. Celebrated Thanksgiving with the family and left late that day.

My BIL and his wife went to the game in Fayetteville last year. Because both sets of their parents live in BR, they usually had two Thanksgivings. Last year, though, they only did one and then had to fly to Fayetteville, leaving around 4pm. This meant that we saw them for about 10 minutes before they had to head for the airport. Kind of messed up the whole Thanksgiving vibe.
Having the game at 7pm in Aggieland would mean that they have to leave by at least early Thanksgiving Day, and thus would miss all the festivities on both sides of their families.
So, yes, that change of day makes some difference in the travel plans.

My dad's parents live in Baton Rouge, and my mom's live in Little Rock.
We just had our holiday rotation set around the game.
Hence my selfish motivation to not move the game.
However, now that I am married it screwed that whole rotation up anyway.

Living in Houston I could hardly ever make that trip. Now that its in Texas we can so I am excited about it. Having two games nearby is nice next year. But I still think the Wisconsin game should have either been in the superdome or a home and home. I am really excited about Lambeau, but I would have been more excited about the game in tiger stadium and in Madison as a tradeoff...
As for Arkansas Little Rock sucked. I think being able to go to fayetteville is a much better alternative.

i have family in l.r. so I really liked having the game there. we would have thanksgiving lunch here in b.r. and then leave for l.r.
the stadium obviously was amateurish but, the gameday atmosphere was infinitely better than what I saw in Fayetteville last year.
i'll go to a&m at least one time after they finish their stadium. not sure if i'll go again though.

We live near FYV so when LSU played at Arkan-piggy we'd do Thanksgiving with our local family. When it was in Tiger Stadium we'd do Thanksgiving with our LA family. Best of both worlds!!!

Once you get a "feel" for the situation what are you going to do with your new found information.

We would eat lunch at noon. Get on the road at 3 from Alabama and get to LR around midnight-1am.
Last year we did the same. Stopped in LR and drove the last 2-3 hours in the morning.
