Yeah, make sure to get the metal ones with the ratcheting head. Stay away from the plastic and non ratcheting head. Its real easy to use, takes 15 seconds to have the pineapple prepared.

My wife bought on very similar to that, after a few uses the buttons that lock the handle to the corer wouldn't engage. Another uni-tasker in the trash.

I have one, but it leaves a lot of meat in the shell when you're done. I would definitely use it if we were having some sort of luau or wanted to use the pineapples for decorations.

Why not just do it with a good knife? It is too easy to actually need one of these IMO.

Love these things, though if I have an especially big one I will use a knife afterwards.
