Trap question?

The very first question Matt Lauer asked that attorney was did he have the credibility to make the claims that he has been making and the attorney responded by saying that he belives he does. The attorney then stated that if MLB would just waive the confidentiality clause, then he would love nothing more to explain A-Rod's position, but he can't because of that clause.

So Lauer informs him that, since he brought it up, he just received a letter from MLB saying they are willing to waive that clause if he is.

BTW, if something like that threw him off his game so bad, he is a horrible attorney.

I wouldnt want him anywhere near a court room or arbitration hearing if he cant handle a surprise revelation like that.

I still don't really follow, to be honest.

Just because the attorney didn't sign it immediately while on TV doesn't mean he has no intentions to review it with ARod, MLB, and then sign it.

If he later refuses, sure you have a point. But right then and there, there's no attorney who would have signed it immediatley.
