Revolution: why can't I stop watching this garbage?

Jesus, this format is LOST For The Completely Mentally Retarded.
lost would should you one thing, one time, then bring it up 3 seasons later and expect you to remember it. revolution is taking that one thing and bashing it over your head for 5 episodes. I get it, the guy in charge is named Monroe and he was a friend of miles in the past, stop throwing it in my face like I'm blind. I don't need big fricking "M"s everywhere to remind me he's important.
when you cut to a flashback that shows the blackout within 2 minutes of starting, you don't need to say "NIGHT OF THE BLACKOUT." it's understood when we see the fricking blackout happen. when we see the same people later in the episode and they look older, you don't have to say "THREE YEARS AFTER BLACKOUT." again, I fricking get it, I'm not retarded.
I just feel like this show is intentionally trying to be a dumbed down version of lost. ensemble cast, lost in nature, flashbacks to get to know each character, sci fi elements, etc. but lost was more subtle when showing you things, they didn't need to bash it over your head with dramatic music yelling "THIS shite IS IMPORTANT, frickING REMEMBER IT"
even with all of this garbage, I still find myself watching, even 8 episodes in, although I fast forwarded the Peter Pan kids scenes. please tell me it gets less cringe worthy

It does get better. The second half of season 1 is completely different from the first half.

Th03.. Are you depressed again? Because watching that garbage is basically visual self mutilation

well, I kept hearing the last part of the season was really good, so I'm hoping to be rewarded

WTH's wrong with you. Even I bailed on this show after 2 or 3 episodes, and I watched The Cape all the way through.

Revolution's second half was good tv. Was it top 10 on tv quality? No. Still great entertainment though. Op is full of himself.

TheCape was halfway decent for a mid-season replacement. Thought it was doomed from the start due to casting Summer "Showkiller" Glau.

She's been cast as a series regular in Arrow. That nickname will soon be gone. I love Glau but she has definitely had/been bad luck for awhile

No idea. It had failure written on it from day one so I was able to skip this one without much problem.

Hope it works out. When does Arrow resume?

Not sure. I assume end of Sept. Very much looking forward to it. I was having major salmon ladder withdrawals but Ninja Warrior is holding me over for now.

no, I'm usually the last to criticize shite, I mean I loved Lost and it was stupid as shite sometimes too, but this goes beyond that and is kind of insulting at times. like how does the power going out affect batteries? how does it just stop chemicals from reacting with each other? it's absurd.
and why do they keep shoving the necklace in your face without saying anything else about it? we knew from the pilot that the necklaces had something to do with the power, yet in the 4th or 5th episode, Juliette draws it for Monroe and the music gets all loud and dramatic like "this thing is important!!!" all she does is say how many there are. the show just assumes the viewers are too dumb to even understand lost so they dumb it down even further to make sure everyone can keep up.

All that is answered in the second half of the season. I don't know what happened but when the show returned from its winter break the storylines started moving(and ending) a lot quicker than they were in the first half of the season.
