Good for Lance. Was always a fan of his work ethic.

Am I missing something? It says Pargo signed with the Bobcats, not the Pelicans.
ETA - Nevermind, he's back with the original Hornets.

Eh, Lance is a good guy, and a hard worker, but I was hoping we were past the days of filling out our bench with D-league talent. Certainly not a make or break, but I'd rather give that spot to someone like Amudson.

But now they're practice players instead of rotation players. I think you want hungry, hard working DLeaguers at the end of the bench rather than veterans. Lance Thomas vs. Lou Amundson for example. If you asked who I want filling in at PF/C for 10 games during the year due to injury of the guys ahead of him, I'd pick Amundson, but for the rest of the year I think you'd rather have a guy like Lance Thomas on your team. Energy/effort is infectious, and he's also reputed as funny guy that provides good leadership in the locker room, not to mention he's a pretty good towel waver.
And I'm not saying Amundson is a bad player, it's just for the amount of games the 13th-15th men will play, what they bring to practice and the locker room/cheerleading section of the bench is more important than what they bring to the court.

Would prefer a young player with more upside at the end of the bench. Thomas is a "what you see is what you get" type of player. He is basically an undersized 4 trying to fit into a 3 role at times.

You definitely have a point, but I'd rather a useful vet like Amudson, or a young guy like NOSHAU said. Lance is one of those guys that if he's getting playing time, then you're team is in a bad shape. He really doesn't have a position either. Hell, I have a pretty good sense of humor and I can wave the hell out of a towel; I wish they would sign me if that's all it took.
