Dishonored

I've had Dishonored sitting on my shelf unopened for almost a year. I always had something else I would rather play but I finally started it last weekend and I can't stop playing it. I like the different powers and the story/world is like nothing I've seen in a game before.
I definitely recommend it to anyone who hasn't tried it out. I know it's not for everyone and I've heard people say it was too weird to get into but I appreciate anytime a developer tries something different. It's like a steampunk Elder Scrolls. It's not completely open world but there are more than enough places to explore during missions. Supposedly, the way you choose to play the game changes the mood of the NPCs and the overall feel of the city. If you go around slaying everyone in your path then people will be depressed and the city will be darker. If you stay stealthy and get in and out of your objectives without killing many people then the city is more uplifted and shite. Anyway, I don't see this discussed here much so here's a thread about it now.
Edit: Interesting fact that I learned just now, Chloe Grace Moretz (Hitgirl from KickAss) voices the princess and Carrie Fisher is the city's "loudspeaker" that makes announcements to the citizens. Susan Saradon, Michael Madson and Brad Dourif voice characters too.

I thought the voice acting won an award or something? Also I thought it was a pretty good game. Not too linear and does a good job of telling a pretty generic story.

I enjoyed it. Looking forward to see what they do with it in the future.

I picked it up during the Steam sale and plan on playing it in the coming months. I've heard it described as a marriage of Bioshock and Thief, so I'm definitely interested.

I am one of the few that thought it was ok but not as good as the hype.

Good game. I had fun. Good springboard to do better shite in the future

I think I'll revisit this one. I started it but only got to the escape part (very beginning). Another game must've been distracting me.
I think I remember the graphics being not all that great considering when it was released. If so, are there mods?
I know, gameplay should be most important, but I've been running around skyrim lately testing stacks upon stacks of mods, and it's hard to switch from those modded textures and lighting effects to something like Fallout 3.

In my backlog too, creepy...
So what are we, I mean you playing tonight?

The graphics underwhelmed me at first but then I came to appreciate them. It starts to look like a painting.

Good game, but the whole 'you have the choice to kill or utilize stealth to complete the game, but we'd prefer you not kill' BS got on my nerves. That and the unfinished graphics on the console version.

The sheath options were almost impossible later in the game. I found it rather annoying.

Probably "Kentucky Route Zero." Though, I've also been messing around with Bioshock 2. I tried playing it a couple of years ago but it just didn't grab me at all. I'm wondering if I can ride the Infinite momentum to get me through it this time.
Looks like you are playing Batman AC based on something else I saw you post. You like it so far?

Hijack, yes it's awesome but I have only played the intro . We have a thunderstorms passing over now so I had to shut down my pc. I may just go play some last of us mp.

Decent game. I rented it from redbox and played it for a weekend but I got pretty far, kinda reminded me of a different spin on an AC/inFamous/Prototype.

I think we are picking out China patterns tomorrow. Potentials will be posted to the board for voting.

I don't want to bump my own thread but...
I didn't see that yesterday.
