Steve Rogers, who shared time with Davis
Jim Benglis, who opened holes for Art Cantrelle
(Little) Jimmy Ledoux, whom Mac actually made run out of a full-house backfield
And, for the name alone, Gawain DiBetta

And also my brother, who was a walk-on LB in the early '80's and only played a few downs but had to hit Dalton Hilliard every day in practice...
Name?

Tommy Clapp. Dude was a pale beast!
...and his kid may be better on the other side of the ball

Ronald Dupree. Absolute stud for 4 years on some bad teams.

Richard Picou - mid to late 60's. Wasn't big but he could run & hit. Saw him knock Bama's "Italian Stallion" Johnny Musso out cold in Tiger Stadium. He was overshadowed by Mike Anderson and others but was a player.

"Paul Lyons"...good one
Took da stinking Badgers to the woodshed in '71 when Bert wasn't clicking. Largest crowd to ever see a sporting event in the state of wish-kan-sin at that time.

I remember Mealey's senior season.
1st down-Mealey
2nd down-Mealey
3rd and short-Mealey
3rd and long- 7 step drop/sack
Don't know how many times I said to my gf at the time 'Do we have a screen pass in the playbook!?'

Rusty Hill (hope I'm getting his name right, after all this is for "unsung" players) - ST phenom in late 70's; wore #35.
Marcus Quinn - SS in '80; preserved win vs AU with an int.
Brian Kinchen - TE in mid-80's.
Todd McClure - C alongside Faneca and played a bunch of years in the NFL with the Falcons
Alan Risher - QB from '80-'82

I like the special teams guys that play with reckless abandon.....Ryan O'Neal played from 1999 to 2002. Great tackler and made returners pay dearly.

Adrian Mayes was another one of those guys.
