Tyrann Mathieu - DB - Cardinals
One NFL scout told FOX Sports Arizona rookie DB Tyrann Mathieu is already "pound-for-pound" the Cardinals' best football player.
An offensive assistant added that "No. 32 (Mathieu's number) is going to change the team." Per beat writer Ron Wolfley, Mathieu's quick development has been "nothing short of stunning," and he's done it while learning four positions: Outside corner, slot corner, safety, and special teamer. Mathieu is truly a stud, and will make himself impossible for the Cardinals to keep off the field.

TM7 being good a the next level should not surprise anyone. He was by far tge most dominating defender his last yr pf CFB. Dude can play.

Best pure football player to ever don an LSU uniform.. and pat pete is a distant second.

I was pissed when the Cardinals drafted him, and now I realize it will suck for 49ers to have to play him twice a year for the foreseeable future.

I'm just really glad that I get to see LSU beneath his name rather than McNeese St!

He was the best player I've ever seen in an LSU jersey. I thought PP7 was prior to badger.
Not old enough to have seen Cannon.

I am not sure i disagree with TM7 being #1 but i strongly disagree with PP7 being a distant second.
PP& was a better returner, he was much better in coverage. He was bigger and faster.
TM7 was uncanny in his ability to strip the football, that cannot be matched.

You mean obviously beating ALA with him this past year, prob beating GA and rolling ND in the BCS and almost settling the score? Or were you talking about something else?

You have to think that if he was on the field last year it would have been a completely different season.
I'm glad he's doing well but damn it we could have really used him last year.

Id disagree about the better returner comment.. TM7 didn't have the opportunities pp7 had.. but when he did he made the most of them and even made something out of nothing.. which Invr saw pat do
