quote:

"Alabama is the school that recruits him the hardest," Fournette II said. "They are on him non-stop. Coach (Burton) Burns, being a St. Augustine high school alumnus, wants him as much as anyone."

Fournette Jr. said he liked that Alabama coach Nick Saban "keeps it real" with him.
"He says 'I do not need you but I want you' and that really stuck with me."

"Alabama has a good chance with Leonard," his father said. "He is wide open and has no favorites, but I know he likes Alabama."

My man is playin the game. Still not worried about him.

All in for LF

LF is an LSU lock. Nothing else needs to be said.

Honestly, any kid/parent combo that can't see through Saban and how ridiculously full of shite the guy is, can go to Bama. Talent be damned, we will always have enough to compete, just need to find a real OC (hopefully it's CC).

FWIW I don't think LF goes there anyways. But if for some reason, "I'm not gonna lie, our backfield is crowded, but I still want you", resonates more then "We didn't take a RB in the last 2 classes to make sure that you are going to be THE guy at LSU", don't let the door hit dat arse on the way out.

I think we're getting him but I'll say it again as I've said it in the past: It's stupid not to recruit immediately for the future and put all your eggs in the basket for a single recruit 2 years down the line.

If LSU doesn't land LF, we're looking bad at that position. You have to keep in mind Hilliard might leave this year too because he likely won't see his stock go much higher senior year due to his style of running, RBs being devalued in NFL and the rookie salary cap making little difference between 2-7 in money.

We'll end up with Mcgee next year, whoever from this class and possibly Brazil? We don't know what we have in any of them and Mcgee had transfer rumors awhile back. I think you can guarantee Hill is gone.

I'm pretty confident we land him, but I still a bit worried. He seems to be someone who is real family oriented. LSU has everything he wants no reason to not go there.

"I don't need you, but I want you"??

God, what a prick Saban can be....who in the country doesn't "need" a talent like LF. I know he signed a ton of RB's last year but geez. Of course Saban needs LF...otherwise he will be a tiger and making Saban have sleepless nights in his future

I feel like everyone just does this to any news where the news is rainbows and sunshine for LSU.

If LF chooses Alabama the suicide hotline around Baton Rouge will need more lines and operators.

I don't care how much of a lock he supposedly is to LSU. It's absurd that Alabama is recruiting him the hardest right now.

Fournette's father, Leonard II, told 247Sports' Kipp Adams on Wednesday night his son will visit Alabama, Southern Cal, Michigan and Florida.

He added Miami "is likely" to receive the fifth visit. Fournette II also listed LSU as a top school.

For those who want to see his top 5 but not give that gump rag a website hit
