Don't get me wrong, I think he's a giant douche but come on. He's already getting destroyed over this in the media but I'm hearing espn asking if the Eagles did enough? Do they want suspensions and him kicked off the team over a word? Not surprised this is getting blown up though, sadly.

Eta: He has been fined an unknown amount by the Eagles. No link but they have been saying this on espn for about an hour now.

Are you asking us what the media wants to happen?

I don't understand your question

I don't have a problem with him getting fined

That might be a bit much

Fined? For saying a word?
He wasn't at an NFL event conducting NFL business so I say no

Considering he works in a business that is dominated by black athletes I don't think this was really a problem.

Not if, on the other side of that fence he speaks about there was a big crowd of black people then maybe he should be punished.

I am under the impression he just sort of said it, he spends all day around guys who more than likely say it on a regular basis. I don't think it matters.

Nothing wrong with a fine, anything more would have been overboard.

The universe will be in order either way. If he's fined, it's because he asked for it. If he's not fined, it's because he hurt no one.

You have to understand that the media loves them some racism stories. Probably their favorite thing. That's why this, like Zimmerman, Paula dean, the number of black coaches/qbs , and similar stories are always blown way out of proportion.

Maybe a fine, but only bc it went public and made the team look bad. Other than that who cares what the guy says? If he's a racist the people around him already knew it.

Does the NFL now have to fine every player who is caught using the word?

It's fricking ridiculous that this is even a news story. A fine would be a joke, and would be so hypocritical. Unless they want to fine every player that uses that word, it would be bullshite. This is PC garbage, and it's absolutely ridiculous.

they should probably cut him

but with their lack of depth at WR after Maclin went down, itd be hard to let him go

Any punishment the Eagles feel is appropriate is fine by me. If they chose to suspend him or cut him, then that's his own fault.

I don't think the NFL should hand down any punishment, though. SHould be handled strictly in house.

Fine? Sure. Suspended? Hell no. Of course, on PTI, they were shocked and said he must be suspended.

Cooper didn't do himself any good by claiming that it was the first time he had ever used the word. Come on man.
