I have always liked Tim Tebow and he is a good role model for kids. I wish him all the best.

It used to be if the third string QB played before the 4th quarter, the 1st and 2nd string guys couldnt reenter the game. I think they did away with that rule though.

Well good to see he finally stopped his "im a quarterback!!" Mantra. But i still highly doubt he makes the roster at any position unless the Pats face a lot of option offenses this year (not sure if they do) and want him around to run scout team
Pats are just too deep at some positions than QB/RB/TE.
Id rather keep and extra lineman like Cunningham as a situational pass rusher over Tebow for example because injuries happen in a snap of a finger

I thought Karl Mecklenburg wore #77 but played ILB in the 3-4? This chart shows only OLs and DLs can have such a number?

On the little scrolling ticker on the bottom on the channel CSN New England, it simply said:
Practice over. Tebow horrendous

If he wears #5 he will take up a roster spot as a QB but they can line him up anywhere.
This. A player isn't limited during the game by what number he wears. Otherwise, this never would have happened:

lol, these Sportscenter guys trying to make it sound like no NFL team has ever faced what the Patriots are facing.
Apparently no team has ever played a season without their head coach
Hernandez is out of sight out of mind and the Patriots probably don't even care at this point, it's not a distraction, he is forever gone. Having TO on your team would be more of a distraction

This article says the opposite:

Off the Snap: Tim Tebow spending ’99 percent’ of his time at QB in Patriots’ practices
quote:
If Tim Tebow is to make the Patriots’ roster (and, yes, it’s still an “if” proposition), he’s going to have to do so as a quarterback. Despite all the hype about Tebow possibly helping out New England at tight end, with Rob Gronkowski injured and Aaron Hernandez no longer on the team, very little in the team’s practices thus far indicates any ultra-creative usages for the ex-Jet.
Ben Volin of the Boston Globe reported that “Ninety-nine percent of Tebow’s activity during his time with the Patriots has been spent learning to play quarterback in the team’s system,” with the lone outside venture being a short drill in which Tebow joins the skill players for a catch-and-run exercise.
“Hate to burst everyone’s bubble, but Tebow isn’t preparing to play tight end, fullback or any other position except quarterback,” Volin wrote. “As McDaniels explained on Monday, the Patriots are only including Tebow in the drill because he has the potential to be a ballcarrier as a scrambling quarterback.”
This all ties back in to the initial argument against Tebow as a tight end: He’s never been one. It may be fun to speculate on the off-the-wall ways the Patriots might employ him (as it was prior to his monotonous turn as the Jets’ backup QB), but players do not oft switch positions and thrive in the NFL.
Tom Brady’s obviously going to be the Patriots’ starter at QB, and Ryan Mallett is all but certain to hold on to his backup job. So, that leaves the No. 3 role — and little else — for Tebow.
