Another restaurant that might fit your needs comfortably is Mandina's. You could take the streetcar down Canal to go there which would be fun for the kids and the menu is huge. It's kid friendly. Old neighborhood restaurant. Always pretty packed so you might want to go early or later for lunch depending on your schedule. It's not the best of the best, but it's solid in my opinion and would serve you well. I always enjoy my meals there.

Cash only though

They take plastic now, I'm pretty sure...it's always a treat in my opinion.

Nah, they got rid of that policy a good while ago. They accept all major credit cards.

Yeah, it was a nice change. Think it was a post K thing. I can't recall how long ago it changed.

Thanks y'all!! Deanie's might be our speed this trip. If we were gonna be there past 5:00 I know where we would go...Jacque Imo's. they don't open till 5. Still dreaming about the alligator cheesecake and fried rabbit pasta dish I had last time.

Mandina's is a great place to teach children the wonder that is turtle soup.

I get Decadence and Essence Festivals confused, Decadence is the one where the tip the waiters, right?
