Disagree
Thug style would have been to hit him in the back of the head as the second dude did.
At least Hill put himself into the guys field of vision and probably saved himself from a felony charge by doing so.

I seriously doubt that the length of Hill's suspension depends on how the other backs are doing. This isn't Urban Meyer we're talking about.
I was using his handling of the Jordan Jefferson situation as my guide. He never set a time table on the number games and once Les felt he had paid his debt he returned to the team.
And for the record, I think him being suspended for the entire summer cannot be forgotten in all of this. He was already being punished before a court of law found him guilty of any crime.

Hilliard shows up focused and Blue bigger and stronger and Hill will really regret giving up his spot to be a punk. Obviously he isn't governed by any other moral compass.

TPOS, no longer will support Hill.

You really can't use JJ as a guide.
JJ was charged with a felony and he wasn't ever coming back as long as that charge remained.
When the GJ refused to give the DA that charge, JJ returned right away.

He looks drunk? Class act there.

so what the FRICK happened to the other guys that hit him. Why were they not charged. He was wrong and should have walked away but tell me why the other people were not charged.
Ridiculous!!!
Thugs!! Les needs to show some leadership here. Dismiss him for not walking away, not for what he did.

bullshite!!!!
This was thug mentality. That is why Les needs to dismiss him. The sorry arse guy that started it was not even fighting with him at the time. He was obviously staggering and Hill politely ran from the side and slugged him. Like a street thug. No room for that on LSU roster. Until Les punishes the thugs we will continue to have thugs.
DO WHAT"S RIGHT!!!

I saw a bunch of guys around one guy, who already seemed to be dazed. pussy move on hills and the other guy that hit him.

What's so funny about all this, technically you guys were already cheering for a guy with a record. Remember he had one BEFORE he came to LSU. That was the reason why his enrollment was delayed because his involvement with a 14 year old girl. I would say that was worse because it could have ruined his life there. He could have been considered a sex offender. He wasn't. He still got a chance to play for LSU and when he did well everyone was talking him up saying how wonderful he was. Now he gets involved in this he's suddenly a "tPOS" or what whatever you want call him because of ONE punch.
Let me get this straight. NO, I DON'T condone ANY violence of any kind. IF you can walk away, do so. However, do we really know how this was started? Everyone goes by what little was recorded which to me looks like the person recording it saw something about to happen and he (or she) started to record it. Like I said, he's still wrong for what he did, but at the same time, this is still the guy you cheered for that had oral sex with that 14 year old in high school and got probation for it. Why is this "fight" (which I wouldn't really call much of a fight) different from that? They're both bad situations for a young man to get involved in.

Thugs!!!! Looked like they were drunk. Is this the type of person we want representing our school?

He's a "thug" because he's gotten into a fight? Really. Honestly how many of you guys (frat guys especially) have gotten into fights over stupid stuff. I've been to Tigerland and I've seen you arguing or fighting over something that probably wasn't even that serious and the next day you have bruises and fat lips because of it. I guess they're "thugs" too huh?

Calm down, Francis. Hill didn't hit you, did he?
I see a thug as attacking from behind.
Hill was wrong to take part, but lets not act as if we know what went on before the very short clip we saw or that Hill's punch is somehow terribly against the "rules" of bar room parking lot SOP for brawls.

LSU has had less arrest in the last three years than 80% or more of the rest of the SEC.
Let's all calm down with the self righteous BS.

If he got into a normal fight and gave the other person a chance to defend himself I would think way differently. In this case though he was a coward and a punk who runs up to a guy walkign away from a fight just to get a cheap shot in. Then he celebrates it with his friends.

Far as I'm concerned he's already being punished. He has been suspended indefinitely since before the beginning of the summer. And as far as I know, it's not up to us, but Coach Miles to make that decision on what he wants to do with Hill not ours. We can speculate, dislike what happened, and say we don't support LSU football or whatever nonsense you guys say, but it's not our decision.
Many of you said you would stop supporting LSU football when JJ came back, yet you're still here. If you haven't left from that, well I know you won't now. Remember these are young adults which many of you were at some point in your lives or still are. I'm sure you have all done something stupid like this or worse. I don't care if he's a student athlete or not. I'm not saying what he did was right, but don't call him a thug or whatever because of a fight. Because if you've been in a fight before (or ever) in your life what would that have made you. So, he's a "thug" because he hit a guy? Wow!

We don't know anything from that video. As I mentioned before, it looked as if someone saw something that was going to go down and recorded it. We don't know how it started. Again, I don't condone what he did, but we can't say that the guy getting punched was innocent either.
Posted on 7/13/13 at 10:43 am to KingwoodLsuFan
Plus did he even know the guy who he gave a high-five? I thought he didn't. Correct me if I'm wrong. Didn't think he was celebrating with friends.
Posted on 7/13/13 at 10:45 am to tigergirl26
From the video Jeremy Hill wasn't in the first fight because he is unscathed. The other guy wasn't innocent but it had nothing to do with Jeremy Hill who had no business going in for a cheap shot. Just a cowardly move. Give Hill a 3-4 game suspension and put him on a tight leash.
