I wouldn't say cowardly, but yes it was wrong. That hasn't changed. Yes, there will be some more punishment coming his way. He knows this. The thing is now, if he's given that chance to play again, will he learn and grow from that or will he do something else. He still has some growing up to do and maybe this will help him do it faster, or else lose out on a promising career because of it.

but we can't say that the guy getting punched was innocent either.
I doubt he was but it apparently had nothing to do with Hill's involvement.
Still don't know why people are looking at the guy who got hit and blaming him. Hill pled guilty, the video appears to back up the fact he just jumped in and hit the guy.

I agree with the rest of your statement but this. You are a coward and a punk if you sucker punch someone.

How else was he suppose to plead? He was guilty. The point I'm trying to make as I did in my post before this one, if Miles allows him back on the team (more than likely after he's missed some games), will he grow from this or lose out. He has a chance for a promising career. He needs to grow up and realize that there will always be someone out there that will attempt to push his buttons all to make him slip up. It doesn't matter if it's at the club or not. They know he has more to lose. He's still a young adult and hopefully he will learn from this and move forward.

Lol, yes that's what the other guy did. If anyone can see it coming, and know you probably did something to ask for it (whether it was the right thing to do or not), then you just got laid out. Sorry. It didn't seem as bad because the guy got up. It's what the second guy did that was really bad (sucker punch).

What a joke. Dude should be in prison. If he gets reinstated I will no longer support LSU football...or LSU athletics for that matter. I know I am 1 person so it's no big deal, but after this video coming out to the public, LSU should want no part of this guy
Think about where you are.
Most people on this board would defend Derek Todd Lee if he was a current LSU football player. Pretty sad and pathetic to be honest.

What I meant was I wouldn't use the term cowardly. It was an immature thing to do period. Just walk away.

I don't defend what he did by any means. What who are we to judge him? As I said before, there are plenty of people (many who are probably posting right now) who have been in a fight. This isn't much of one anyways. You guys should have gone to jail too, based on what you've been saying about Hill. Miles has to make the decision now, not us. If he decides to put Hill back on the team, then that's his choice. He will definitely be on a short leash. If you don't want to follow LSU football after then don't. That's your choice. Like I said before, it you didn't leave from the JJ situation then more than likely you won't because that situation was worse in my opinion than this despite that being his first time getting in trouble while at LSU.

Whatever happened before we wont know but hill used poor judgement and probably needs some a new group of guys to hang around. I think honestly miles is going to kick him off the team for good hill may have just ruined his career and its so sad for LSU and not just hill. I would be surprised to see hill on the team next season because if you let him off easy then it sets bad example for the rest of the team. Really is a shame I hope im wrong

Are you arguing with the fact you agree with me?
Weird.

This will be his last year, but I think he'll do fine once he gets through whatever suspension he has to deal with.
I'll give him a better chance of making it through this season than Johnny Manziel. But I don't expect to see him back in '14

Well he's not going to be let off easy that's for sure if he's allowed back on, but I hope he would consider not hanging out at the bars for awhile.

respectable human beings.

that wasn't a fight. he snuck a dude from the behind and celebrated. it's really not that hard to understand.

The thing is it is very cowardly to sucker punch someone. Hill doesn't have the balls to stand in front of the guy and get in a fair fight. Instead he runs up to the guy and punches the guy who doesn't see the punch coming. Hill can't even knock the guy down and gets let off the hook by his other friend who sucker punches the guy from behind.

I'm going to bet that would be a condition of his return to the field. Probably a wise one at that.

There wouldn't be many students left if we were kicking people, out of LSU for sucker punches and bar fights
I'm not sure who originally posted this but it's awful reflection of a mindset. If were representative of "typical" LSU male students then LSU is a cesspool of stupidity and students without character, lacking self-control.
That said, I don't believe that this behavior represents the typical student.
Regardless, there is no defense of Jeremy Hill. He got a second chance after the sexual offense. He may a get third chance but my guess is that this pattern will continue in his life as he seems to just be incapable of decency.

Wow okay. All what I was saying was that the decision is up to Miles and Miles only. Not us. All we're giving our opinions in the matter. Whatever happens I hope that he gets his head on straight.
