It would make absolutely no sense if he did. Like a previous poster said, the ads are so big on the new score board because we had a previous agreement with the vendors on size and location before the scoreboard was upgraded.
He'll sign up for another contract that will make the ads more appealing with the new real estate.

That's idiotic. As someone in advertising, you can't blame the advertiser for taking advantage of the ad space offered by the media. Blame LSU for installing a giant arse HD video screen and using something like 40% of it for static ads, when they could have installed the same screen AND regular lighted ad spaces adjacent to the new scoreboard.

The ads don't bother me, they bring LSU more money. However the way LSU places the ads on the scoreboard and the size of them compared to the scoreboard annoys the hell out of me. I think Arky did a good job with their sponsors. Wish we could see something similar.

I could be way off, but I thought I heard that once the current ad contract is up the ads will be a lot smaller.
I thought I heard the ads were so big so they could pay for the score board?

Here is the story: When the south end zone scoreboard was taken down, so was the PA system. They are adding a new PA system to the existing scoreboard and refinishing the front with a new paint job.
