It makes you undependable and unavailable is what it makes you as a player.
Ask 2012 LSU Tigers.

Obv eating was more important to JR than football.
Obv smoking dope was more important to TM than football.
Either way.... both are bad choices which leads to not desirable players.
Maybe if guys like Hester and Flynn were more like the other two mentioned they would be.... Oh wait nevermind.

Do you really believe TM7, Ware and Simon were the only dudes on the team smoking, just because they were the only ones that got busted?

And what does that even matter anyway? We're talking about two guys...TM7 and JR.

TM7 got on the wrong side of the rule book, but he's still a great player.

JR ate so much that he couldn't even pass a physical.

We are talking about taking one of these guys and putting him on LSU's 2013 roster. One can obviously play, the other, who the hell knows and you're going with the latter?

It doesnt matter one bit..
What? You think Les was picking on those three?

The excuses you people make for players bc you like them blows my mind.
Dude was a selfish frick. PERIOD>.. F a rulebook, F what other players were doing, F his upbringing.
He made a decision to say,......... You know what? I realize Ive failed 10 previous tests and been warned numerous times about the consequences.. I dont care.
I have no time/sympathy/empathy for players with that attitude. ZERO.

As far JR goes.. I dont care.
Im not a huge fan of pro football and honestly it makes me no difference to the success or lack of any player has when they leave LSU.
I obv dont wish any ill-will, honestly I just assume they all prosper, but fact is I dont lose any sleep on the succuess or failures of any former LSU Tiger after they leave BR.

JR for what I know, gave it all he had for LSU and his teamates.
WHat more should any of us want from the guy?

Then why did you bring it up?

What are you talking about? My point was that smoking weed does not necessarily make you "undependable and unavailable" as you put it.

Weighing 100 lbs more than you should does though.

You just went completely off on a tangent there bro. None of that has anything to do with the OP, so I haven't a clue really how to respond.

Either one of the Matts. They led us to National Championships.

The rest of the team has been equal to the task. We have needed a dependable quarterback.

This guy was an avg at best qb. It's crazy how LSU fans have revisionist history with Flynn.

I don't understand this. I love Jacob Hester, one of my favorite Tigers; but you can bring back one tiger on their current form to our team and you pick RB? That's like one of our best positions

What a player like Hester brings to the practice field, weight room and locker room is as meaningful as production on the field.
We were without that last two years.
Prime Example....Sam Montgomery.

If your experience of sports is duck duck goose and play station you wouldn't understand.
Not saying that's your personal exp but for many here I assure you that's the case.

Well I assure you that's far from my experience with sports

But anyway, you don't think Flynn is a leader? And he plays a position that could really really help us, I mean he's an NFL QB

I'm actually convinced that a good number of them do.

Kind if scary.
