Adult pelicans grunt when at the colony, but are generally silent elsewhere or outside breeding season.[30][60][61][62] Conversely, colonies are noisy as chicks vocalise extensively.
So the dude pelicans are laid back, but their chicks never shut the hell up...

They are exceptionally buoyant due to the internal air sacks beneath their skin and in their bones, and as graceful in the air as they are clumsy on land.
We will be a team of dunkers.

- Pelicans inhabit every continent except Antarctica
- Pelican bills are actually able to sense creatures underwater
- When pelicans are courting, they open and close their bills to make their gular sacks ripple, strut around, and toss sticks and dried fish up into the air.

A wonderful bird is the pelican,
His mouth can hold more than his belly can,
He can hold in his beak,
Enough food for a week.
I'm damned if I know how the hell he can!

Pelicans are hypercarnivores
Sounds cooler than what it actually means (diet of >70% meat)
