What is the real rule if you're in pits and they close pit road? And what's rule if you're on put lane but not in your pit?
I swear I never get a straight answer from clowns on TV and magical NASCAR rulings. Plus the magic caution always happen when someone who is about to lose lap or whatever.

I'm not sure of the exact rule now, I think it depends if you are pitting before or after the start finish line and where you are when the caution comes out. I think also if you are coming down pit road and it comes out you just keep going and don't pit.
Junior was already back on track and I thought the leaders were/had passed him which would have put him a lap down regardless.

I don't think it changes I just think it seems like because it depends on where you are on pit road and where the caution happens on the track and if you beat the leaders out of the pits. But I'm just going off of what makes sense and not what the rule book says. Personally, if someone had already made it past the commitment cone when the caution comes out I think they should be ok

They pack em in now so they can go commercial free and then have 5 late cautions which provides them with more commercial time.
End result is you miss over half the race, get to see a bunch of caution laps at the end and a GWC
