This is your grand example of the tragic dumbing down of the New Orleans culinary scene? Four joints that opened in locations that I don't think ever previously housed restaurants, three of which are just glorified food stands?
Oh goodness! The absolute HORROR!!
Funny thing is, for every Dat Dog or Liberty Steaks (never tried that one, so I couldn't comment as to what may or may not be so offending to foodie-pseudo-sophisticate sensibilities about it) I can think of 10-15 other interesting and innovative new establishments in other previously empty spaces that excite me. Yet, this is what you choose to obsess over and get "sad" about?
Pathetic.
