Just went to 76ers fan board. First post was "Jrue Holiday traded for Noel and 2014 pick." Second message was "Kill Yourself"

I understand that we would get a good player next year but if jrue continues to improve (being already an all-star) he would be better off the bat than anyone we would have next year.
Thats cool but you had the only real allstar from the 2013 draft fall in your lap in McLemore and you trade that and your lotto pick next year for a good PG. Good luck.
Like I said if you want a really good future PG draft Burke and keep your 2014 lotto pick.

We do keep it. if it is in the top 5, it's ours.

And throw in EGo and Rivers.
Don't forget Ryno baby. Can't forget Ryno. Hopefully we'll be able to add a Martell Webster type at SF.

stop trying dude this is a great trade, jrue is a better player than McLemore, losing the 2014 pick does suck but we will improve alot from this trade and we won't lose that much in the 2014 draft.

exactly so while at 6-10 it could hurt us but if we tank again we would get it anyway.

I love how you keep calling him a good pg. an all star in the east is not just a good pg

This
I get Holiday is an all star, but he isn't worth 2 1st rounders.
IF we get a top 5 pick next year, then obviously that makes it a straight up 2013 pick for Holiday, which I think is a great deal for us.
BUT, again, assuming Holiday is a beast like you all say, we don't get a 1st rounder next year in supposedly one of the deepest, most talent laden draft in recent memory.
I don't like risking that 2014 1st rounder. IT's not about McLemore, Burke, McCollum vs Holiday straight up. You take Holiday in that situation every time. But to risk your 2014 pick in next years beefy draft as well? Not a good move for us IMO.
Not to mention, if we are drafting in the top 5 next year, then we haven't improved enough to warrant the trade anyway.
ETA:
Scenario 1: We get Holiday and lose our 2013 and 2014 picks
Scenario 2: We take Burke, McLemore, McCollum and keep our 2014 pick
I like Scenario 2

i can't trust someone who doesn't know the difference between loose and lose

I hate using this as an excuse but when people insult my intelligence I have to use it.
I actually have a disability that makes my spelling and grammar worse. Its a common error I make.
I wish I could PM this instead of having to waste a post on explaining this.

I like number 1. You don't think we slide in the playoffs or close to it next year? You harping on draft picks, but were getting someone good who can lead the team AND is young. I understand your talking but this is a great trade.

They've compared next year to '03. After Wade went at 5 it was:
Chris Kaman
Kirk Hinrich
T.J. Ford
Michael Sweetney
Jarvis Hayes
Mikael Pietrus
Nick Collison
Marcus Banks
Luke Ridnour
That's 6-14. Are any of those players at that time + Noel better than Jrue? No.

proof that this won't be a huge deal cause I really only know collins on that list.
granted I don't follow the NBA that much.
