I did that. It appears this will be a learning experience.

Is there any harm to pitching dry yeast later, or making a starter then pitching it later?

Not at all. The yeast will eventually start working, it will just have a huge lag time and will struggle towards the end.

It might, but it also might come out being fine. I'm pretty anal when it comes to yeast, so take my advice with a grain of salt.
