I've really fricking had it with nba players dictating too much where they will and won't play. Bunch of fricking pussies in this league.

I hate it too, but it is the reality we live in.

The new CBA slapped them down a little bit, but not enough.

The reality is, if you draw the line in the sand and say "retire then"...he drags it out so you have no money to spend in FA, he then starts whining, crying, bitching and making a scene until you are basically forced to buy him out.

At that point, you have no shot at any Free Agents, and you are in worse shape than if you just hadn't done the deal at all.

Which is why I think Stern would frick Marion in the arse if he tried this.


He leaned VERY hard on Billups after he and his agent were making threats to retire rather than report to whatever team won his rights through the amnesty bidding.

He pretty much told him "You won't see any of your $9m+ contract money that the Knicks are dumping if you keep fricking around."


I figure the same would happen if Marion opted into the final year of his contract, knowing he had been traded, then refused to report.
