I've come up with a realistic/dream scenario for the Pelicans and I want you to tell me what you think..All trades work with cap money.

Trades: Grevis Vasquez+Eric Gordon to Celtics for Rajon Rondo.
Celtics are looking for a fresh start, gives them two younger players with potential & fills two holes on that team.

Ryan Anderson+Robin Lopez to Rockets for Omer Asik+Chandler Parsons.
Rockets are trying to land DW12. Plus, Anderson and Dwight played well together in Orlando, also gives them a valuable back up center in Lopez.
*Draft C-Alex Len

Free agency:
Resign SF-Al-Fourqu Aminu
Sign SG-Tony Allen

PG-Rondo/Roberts
SG-Tony Allen/Rivers
SF-Parsons/Aminu
PF-Davis/Smith
C-Asik/Len

I think it's pretty realistic. Plus we have $$ to add depth. What do you think?

That adds ~$5m to Houston's payroll.

not bad but thats a defensive type sqad with no offense. 0.0% chance of winning in the western conf.

I don't think its realistic but I would trade Ryno and Lopez for Asik and Parsons in a second. I'm too drunk to calculate the cap implications but I assume Houston wouldnt financially benefit from something like this.

Is Rondo even available? Last I heard, they got rid of Rivers and are building around him. Plus he's hurt and probably won't be ready for the beginning of the year. Why would they trade him while his value is low (ala Gordon)?

is probably no better than the team we put on the court last year with a somewhat healthy eric gordon
