A very large dead zone, an area of water with no or very little oxygen, is expected to form in the Gulf of Mexico this year — a trend in recent years, according to the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA).

Nothing new there. Every year it is there. More so due to the Mississippi River being a bit higher this year so far.

Everyone will still continue to catch fish. Same ol song and dance every year.

The information they seem to forget is that the dead zone is less than a meter think, and starts at the bottom. Quite often it can be just a foot thick.

Yeah, it hit our area so bad last year fishing is still off. I'd just start planning for the hunting season if I were you.
