Does any of you know what the German is saying to Adam Goldberg as he goes to stab him?

It's one of, if not the most, intense scene I've seen in a movie and was curious as to what the German was saying.

Every single time I watch this movie I get pissed off at Corporal Upham. He was such a whiny little pussy that ultimately cost several of those guys their lives.

Found it on IMDB:

"As the German soldier stabs Mellish to death, he says: "Gib' auf, du hast keine Chance! Lass' es uns beenden! Es ist einfacher für dich, viel einfacher. Du wirst sehen, es ist gleich vorbei." This translates: "Give up, you don't stand a chance! Let's end this here! It will be easier for you, much easier. You'll see it will be over quickly." The words are spoken in accent-free German."

One of those movie experiences that was once in a lifetime, having obvious vets in the movie with you coming out tearing up.

Me too. Then he tries to make up for it after everyone surrendered and he safe. Where was that 10 minutes before you fricking coward?

I can't watch any movie that has Jeremy Davies in it due to his roll in this movie. I just can't stand the character he played in SPR.

Dickey is a pussy too. Albeit an oddly hilarious pussy, but a chickenshit pussy nonetheless.

Kindof a bullshite move by raylan to cripple him for life with a bat over a high school baseball game IMO.

Great movie

A lot of people on this board say that Saving Private Ryan becomes your standard WWII flick after the D-Day landing sequence, but scenes such as Mellish's and Wade's death really make me disagree. They were both very heart wrenching and difficult to watch. Very realistic scenes IMHO.
